Ensuring a Safe and Healthy Campus
F&M’s Office of Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management helps ensure a safe working environment for our students, faculty, staff, and neighbors in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Keeping people safe is our primary goal. We are committed to providing an environment that’s safe for students to learn, faculty to teach, staff to work, and for families and neighbors to gather.
We provide support to offices across the campus in understanding and minimizing risks related to their activities. By closely collaborating with departments across campus, we offer proactive solutions and approaches to managing risks and maintaining compliance to help protect the campus community from injury and illness. We accomplish this by:
- Proactively identifying hazards
- Controlling and reducing our vulnerabilities
- Enacting changes by collaborating with campus stakeholders to ensure the protection of life and property
