Join us for Autumn Open House on Saturday, September 17, 2016.
Our open houses are a great way to get to know the campus and the community. F&M holds an Open House in the fall and spring of each year. Each program includes a welcoming information session, a tour, a panel discussion with students and faculty members, and optional seminars on topics such as the application process, early decision and more.
We Want You Here!
Schedule your visit to Franklin & Marshall College today. The Office of Admission is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additionally, F&M offers several special visit opportunities, including select Saturday visits, and fall & spring open houses.
CAMPUS TOURS are Monday through Friday at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., as well as 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m. (except holidays).
No appointment is necessary, but we encourage pre-registration. This is your opportunity to see the campus through the eyes of a current student. You will visit the College Houses and see classrooms, labs, performing arts facilities, sports and fitness centers, and more. Tours last approximately one hour.
INTERVIEWS are offered by appointment Monday through Friday between March 1 of the junior year and January 15 of the senior year. Interviews are recommended (but not required) as part of the application process. It is a great way to hear your unique story and learn about your many interests, strengths, and accomplishments.
INFORMATION SESSIONS are held twice daily on weekdays from mid-June through early-September at 10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. During the fall term, twice daily information sessions are held on Mondays and Fridays through mid-November. During the spring term, sessions are available Monday through Friday from late-March to late-April, along with selected Saturdays and holiday periods in January and February.
Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes an opportunity for questions. Led by an admission dean, the sessions are an introduction to Franklin & Marshall’s philosophy, program offerings and most distinctive features.
BUILD YOUR VISIT AT F&M - After Labor Day, visiting HS seniors can customize a full day on campus. Immerse yourself in campus life by adding something extra to your campus tour or interview experience. Attend a class, have lunch with a current student in the dining hall, and/or meet with a professor. In order to provide the most personalized visit experience possible, we ask for two weeks notice in advance of your intended visit day. Begin planning your special day on campus today!
SUSTAINABILITY TOUR - The Sustainability Tour is an exploration of Franklin & Marshall, conducted by students who are actively involved with green efforts on campus. The student guides will speak about their involvement with the sustainable movement in academics, in extracurricular opportunities and operationally and at F&M. The tour is approximately 30 minutes.
Additional Visit Opportunities
Experience first-hand F&M’s liberal arts curriculum and focus on discussion-based, hands-on learning. Classes in a variety of disciplines are offered to prospective students. Choose a class within your intended major, from a title that fascinates you, or in a new field that ignites your intellectual curiosity. Due to a high number of requests between April 1 - April 23, preference is given to admitted HS seniors.
Meet with a Professor
Have some specific questions about a department or field? Meet with a faculty member to learn more about current research F&M students are spearheading, unique class offerings, peer-reviewed faculty and student publications, departmental honor theses, and how F&M graduates are applying their major.
Lunch with a Student
Have lunch with an F&M student to experience both our on-campus dining options and day-to-day campus life.
On several Saturdays throughout the year, the admission staff offers campus tours and information sessions. If visiting campus on a weekday is difficult for your family and you, check out our available Saturdays HERE.
Franklin & Marshall welcomes your group of High School students to visit our campus. Please submit a group visit request to our visit coordinator, who will reach out to you to verify and confirm your visit itinerary.
