Jury Duty Pay Policy

Full-time members of the faculty and professional staff who are required to perform non-voluntary, non-excusable jury duty during normal working hours will receive full base salary from the College. However, such payment is specifically conditioned upon the endorsement and crediting to the College of all payments received by the employee for serving as a juror.

If an employee is compelled by subpoena to attend legal proceedings, during regular working hours, in which he/she is a third party, disinterested witness and has no personal interest in the outcome of the proceedings, the employee shall receive pay for the time he/she is required to attend the legal proceedings. Such payment is conditioned upon the endorsement and crediting to the College of any payments which the employee receives from the court.

Payments received by an employee for performing jury duty or attending legal proceedings are to promptly be brought to the Cashier, Business Office, so the College can be credited with the payment.
