Biography

A central Pennsylvania native, Alexis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Franklin & Marshall College in 2021 with a double major in animal behavior studies and environmental science with a minor in anthropology. After graduating, Alexis worked in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, and Idaho as well as attended field school in Kimana, Kenya. 

Returning to her liberal arts roots, Alexis joined F&M as an admission counselor in December 2024. As a student, Alexis’s time on campus was split between working as a housing adviser (Brooks House, Best House!), studying in the Shadek-Fackenthal Library, or hanging out with the monkeys in the vivarium. She looks forward to working with students and their families as they navigate higher education and find a community where they can explore their interests, academic and extracurricular. Having a special place in her heart, Alexis is thrilled to share everything F&M and the Lancaster area have to offer. 

When not at work, you can usually find Alexis curled up with a book, enjoying the outdoors, thrifting (the area has so many amazing shops), watching F1, or spending time with family and friends.

What does being a Diplomat mean to you?

Being a Diplomat means being an empathetic, justice-oriented, and open-minded global citizen who engages with complex thoughts, ideas, and actions focused on the betterment of themselves, their community, and the world.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

I am partial to the window seating areas in the Shadek-Fackenthal Library or Franklin & Marshall’s Spalding Conservancy next to Baker Campus. Spalding Conservancy offers a woodland getaway with plenty of trails, flora, fauna, and history to explore.

What is your favorite part about Lancaster?

Lancaster really offers a diverse array of activities to do, places to explore, and things to eat. You can find almost any food you could want, take a short drive to kayak along the river, take in history and culture throughout the city, or find a community that supports your growth and explorations.
