Anne Stachura's areas of research are 21st-Century Latin American Literature and Film.
She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Spanish and Medical Humanities
at the University of Texas-Pan American, where she also directed the Medical Spanish
for Heritage Learners Program.
She has published articles and book chapters on globalization and violence in Contemporary
Mexican novels and film.
Currently, her research focuses on representations of caregiving in contemporary Spanish
and Latin American literatures.
