Kelly earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Northern Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees from Northern Illinois University in Psychology and Sociology with a Minor in Philosophy and Sociological Emphasis in Criminology. In cultivating the therapeutic relationship, she uses an integrative, non-judgmental, collaborative, and compassionate approach, incorporating trauma-informed, systemic, and strength-based practices. She caters the focus and interventions for every unique client, coloring sessions with creativity, thoughtful engagement, imagination and humor, along with practical solutions (when appropriate) and concrete goals for optimum and ethical care. Kelly utilizes Interpersonal Process and Relational Therapy, as well as an attachment-based and cognitive behavioral lens, in order to meet clients where they are.
